Freight Cars Weathering Videos

Here are a couple of freight cars weathering video I recently made.

I worked on a couple of freight cars in these weathering videos: a Railbox 50′ boxcar, and a BN 4750 cf covered hopper, both made by Athearn.

Unfortunately, I lost some footage from the early part of the covered hopper weathering video (my fault). Thus, the black wash had already been applied when the video starts.

In both freight cars weathering videos, I used oil paints. Their long drying time allows for more control over blending and subtle effects.
